Our Story
East Coast Bagels opened its doors in May of 1995 with a simple mission: bring authentic New York-style bagels to Westlake Village. Nearly three decades later, what started as one person's dream has blossomed into the heart and soul of our community.

Since opening in May 1995, East Coast Bagels has been more than a restaurant – it's been a launching pad for over 450 local high school students getting their first job experience before heading to college. Many return years later with families of their own, forever part of the East Coast Bagel family. We've become the 'Cheers' of Westlake Village, where regulars are greeted by name, business deals happen over coffee, and Little League teams celebrate their victories.
Every morning, we boil and bake our bagels using traditional methods with no preservatives or cholesterol – just pure ingredients like fresh-chopped onions and real whole blueberries. Whether you're a daily regular or a first-time visitor, when you walk through our doors, you become part of our story – a community tradition that's been bringing neighbors together one authentic New York-style bagel at a time for 30 years.

I always get the Lox sandwich on an egg bagel. The lox is the best out there with juicy tomato, delicious capers, and plenty of lox. Their bagels are fresh, crispy outside, fluffy and chewy inside.

I nibbled on my friend's chocolate bagel with cream cheese and was really surprised I liked it! My sandwich came out great and the star of the show was the everything bagel. I would eat here again and possibly get a dozen bagels to go.

Really great bagels! Really great execution of the new york style bagel. My only wish is that they had more cream cheese flavors, but as-is, it's the best bagel in the conejo valley.
